Computer Helper was founded in 2004 with one belief: technology should serve people, not intimidate them. For over two decades we built genuine relationships with thousands of clients across Georgia and Tennessee — helping them navigate a digital world that moves faster every year.
What we did not expect was how often we would get the call that came too late. A retired teacher who had transferred thousands of dollars before realizing something was wrong. A grandfather who could not understand why his bank account was empty.
Remote access scams became one of the most devastating threats we saw — and the hardest part was that victims almost never knew they were in danger until it was over. LurkAlert was built to close that window before it opens.

Gerald founded Computer Helper in 2004 with a simple belief: people deserve technology that works for them, not against them. Over two decades and thousands of clients across Georgia and Tennessee, he watched remote access scams grow more sophisticated and more devastating — hitting individuals, families, and small businesses alike.
That pattern is what drove him to create LurkAlert: not just to help people after the damage is done, but to stand guard before the scammer ever gets that far. His guiding principle has never changed — view every client as a relationship, not a transaction.

Pamela answered Computer Helper's very first call in 2004 and has never stopped putting the customer first. She has spent more than twenty years making sure every person who reaches out feels like family rather than a ticket number.
